Formed in 2010 by French ondiste Nathalie Forget and British pianist Matthew Schellhorn, at the core of the group is a duo of ondes Martenot and piano.
Expanding and contracting as required, Wavetrain's programmes built around several formations ranging from a duo to a larger ensemble including percussion, strings, vocals and live electronics.
Specialising in unusual and captivating repertoire from all over the world, Wavetrain is also committed to exploring new techniques and commissioning new works.
In May 2011, the ensemble appointed Irish composer Siobhán Cleary as its first Associate Composer.
During the 2011/12 season, Wavetrain will give several European and world premieres during concerts in the UK, France and Ireland.
